Healthier Diets

There are many different opinions on the appropriate diet for optimal health and wellness. However, the one thing that most naturopathic practitioners agree on is that eliminating refined grains, sugars and processed foods while increasing your intake of vegetables (and sometimes fruits) is critical for a well-functioning body and a healthy immune system, especially when healing from disease.

The ideal diet varies by person, because we are all individuals with completely unique bodies. For this reason, it is important to make dietary decisions under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional.

The ketogenic diet is a very high fat, moderate protein and very low carbohydrate diet, which when done correctly, puts your body into a ketosis metabolic state and has numerous health benefits.

The Hippocrates Diet is a specialized raw, organic plant-based diet served at the Hippocrates Wellness Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Vegan / Raw Vegan

A vegan diet consists of abstaining from eating animals or animal products, including but not limited to all meat, fish, eggs and dairy products. Raw veganism is a diet that combines the vegan and raw food diets. The raw vegan diet excludes all food and products of animal origin, any food that is processed or altered from its natural state, and any food cooked at a temperature above 118 °F (48 °C).
